Tasmine Shannonhouse, 25, of Hamden, was arrested by the Milford Police Department for the two separate robberies with a firearm that occurred on Oct. 8, Oct. 10, in the downtown Milford area, said Milford Police spokesman Officer Joseph Dempsey.

The robbery on Oct. 8, was committed at the drive-up ATM machine located at People’s United Bank, 190 South Broad St., and the robbery on Oct. 10, was committed at the Taste of Thai Restaurant, 22 South Broad St. In both incidents the suspect pointed a black handgun at the victims, Dempsey said.

During the investigation, police were able to use surveillance camera footage to identify Shannonhouse, he added.

A warrant was served at his apartment where police found the firearm (BB gun) used in the robberies, Dempsey said.

It was also learned that Shannonhouse had an active warrant for his arrest, accusing him of failing to pay a marijuana infraction he received in Norwalk on Feb. 1, 2014.

Shannonhouse was charged with two counts of felony robbery, two counts of larceny, and two counts of illegal possession of a firearm.

He is being held on a $200,250 bond for both cases and is scheduled to appear in Milford court on Monday.
